The experimental music project 7 was founded by Lorenzo Chacon in 2008 with the release of "Ascension in Descension", an instrumental album that gave listeners a preview of what Chacon refers to as "spiritual movement". The album "Death Flower Volume 1" was released in 2011 and the track "The Freak Likes It" was featured in the film "Model Minority". This initiated the series titled "Death Flower" in which volumes are available to fans as free downloads from various sites. In 2012, Chacon collaborated with recording artist Kory Tegeler to release "Man of Sorrows", an album that pushed 7's sound beyond it's traditional norm. "Strings & Circuits" featured the vocal talents of Krisztina Koromzay. A classically trained pianist, Koromzay's talents as an exceptional vocalist and musician opened a creative synergy that further shaped sights and sounds of 7.
