Story Behind The Song
I think most mothers can relate to this lovely lullaby. I went back in time, when my daughter Lori was very young, and told how I felt about her at the time. I love the Peter Pan lullaby and this served as an inspiration, to write my song!
Song Description
All I had to do to write this Lullaby, was to imagine my daughter Lori as a young child. Of course, my daughter was a handful, but even so, all babies and children are glorious. That is, until they tell you to shut up, ha ha. There may be another song I'll write about THAT mother child relationship, but for now, enjoy my song, "A LULLABY FOR YOU".

VEERSE ONE
CLOSE YOUR EYES GO FAST TO SLEEP, I'LL SING A SONG YOU'LL COUNT YOUR SHEEP.I'M GOING TO BE HERE IN THE MORNING. WHEN YOU WAKE, I'LL HEAR YOU CRY, I'LL LIFT YOU UP AND WIPE YOUR EYE. MY PRECIOUS CHILD IF YOU COULD KNOW, THOUGH WORDS MAY NEVER TELL THE WAY I FEEL, YOUR MOTHER LOVES YOU SO!
VERSE TWO
LITTLE CHILD WHO CAME FROM ME, COME SIT UPON MY BENDED KNEE. I THINK I'll SMILE AT YOU ALL DAY. LATER ON YOU'LL TAKE A BATH, THEN STROLL ALONG A GARDEN PATH, MY PRECIOUS CHILD IF YOU COULD KNOW, THOUGH WORDS MAY NEVER TELL THE WAY I FEEL, YOUR MOTHER LOVES YOU SO!
