Story Behind The Song
I had the epiphany as I hit my 50's, that I have had a lot of lonesome times in my life. Most of it self-imposed. It made me question the decisions I have made and amplified my regrets. Overall I have learned to deal with those feelings. This song addresses that process.
Song Description
When you have experienced a life filled with more lonely times than you've enjoyed companionship, you eventually begin to reflect on it and your life.

Lyrics
LONELINESS
I'D LIKE TO THINK THAT I COULD LIVE MY LIFE,
DO THINGS RIGHT & NOT HAVE TO DEAL,
WITH LONELINESS
I JUST WANT TO FEEL LIKE I AM FREE,
TO FINALLY BREATH & DO AWAY WITH LONELINESS
I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE WAY IT WAS,
TO BE IN LOVE & ENDING UP IN LONELINESS
PRAYING SOMEDAY THAT THEY FIND A CURE,
FOR MINE & YOURS, OUR FEAR OF LIFE,
IN LONELINESS
CHORUS: THERE'S MORE TO THIS, I MUST CONFESS,
THAN JUST LONELINESS
THERE'S MORE TO THIS, AS I DO MY BEST
TO FIGHT THIS LONELINESS
SOMETIMES AT NIGHT I LIE IN BED AWAKE,
I THINK THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SHAKE, THE LONELINESS
TOOK A BREAK FROM SOCIETY, TRIED TO CLEAR
MY HEAD, I COULD JUST GET RID,
OF THIS LONELINESS
FRIENDLY BRIDGES FINALLY FELL,
THE WALLS OF HELL SURROUNDING ME, IN LONELINESS
I NEED TO FIND SOMEONE WHO CARES,
ENOUGH TO SHARE MY BURDEN, WITH THIS LONELINESS
CHORUS:
BRIDGE: I CAN PLAY & SING FOR A HUNDRED PEOPLE,
I WILL OFFER UP MYSELF
TO ANOTHER BROKEN SOUL LIKE ME,
ANOTHER LONELY SOMEONE ELSE
