Story Behind The Song
Inspired by a missionary speaker whose small son was temporary lost in a city in South America. He described the frantic, desperate search for the boy and correlated that to God's desire for us to be "found". The child was actually safely in the care of a family friend for most of the time he was missing.

Lyrics
(Verse 1)
Once it seemed so clear to me,
the path ahead was plain to see.
Then I came upon a fork in the road.
Which way to go, which way to go?
So I made a choice and went my way,
soon darkness overtook the day.
It seemed I'd reached the end of the road.
Lost and alone, so far from home. As I trembled there afraid to move, no hope to find a way that's true,
I felt Your hand slip in-to mine,
ahead you flashed a still small light.
(Chorus)
Now I'm safe and sound with You, safe and sound with You,
when all seemed lost and nothing rang true,
I found I'm safe and sound with You.
(Verse 2)
As we go on thru the night,
anticipating morning's light,
there's still so much I can't understand.
How can this man be part of Your plan?
One thing that I know is true,
that if I wander far from You,
Your love for me it knows no bounds,
You'll seek me, Lord until I am found.
(Repeat Chorus)
(Bridge)
You promised there is nowhere here on earth or up above,
that can ever separate me from the presence of Your love!
(Repeat Chorus)
