Song Description
A prayer dedicated especially to all persons in positions of power, for taking the right decisions for the common good, freedom and for giving them strength to resist the temptation to fall into the darkness of authoritarian manners.
For the sung part I used a few text lines in Latin from the (catholic) Requiem text.
Orchestral Hip-Hop and medieval composing techniques.
The tubular bells quote the beginning of the medieval tune "Dies Irae"(the Day of Wrath).

DONA EIS DOMINE LUX PERPETUA
(Hook 2x in Latin)
Dona eis, Domine, (grant them o Lord),
Et lux perpetua luceat eis (and may perpertual light shine upon them).
Ne cadant in obscurum, (do not let them fall into darkness)
Exaudi orationem meam.(Hear my prayer).
(Middle section)
Quia pius es!(because Thou are merciful)
Ne cadant in obscurum, (do not let them fall into darkness)
Quia pius es!(because Thou are merciful)
(Rap by CaiNo)
Dear Lord,
I hope that you can hear me
I pray that everyone in power has the strength
to resist the temptation cause great lengths
are pulled tight a bull fight slack coming out
we're working all night it's not right backs going out
and still the prayer is that you hear the silent whispers
the small voices make choices fingers are getting blisters
the wishes of the misses and the misters
seem to be getting missed lives cut off like some scissors
It's time to shred it
let them know that we will never let it
if we got a scream our names then they will never forget it
Lord I hope you can forgive them
it's hard to treat the sick if they're not showing any symptoms
(Hook 2x)
Dona eis, Domine, (grant them o Lord),
Et lux perpetua luceat eis (and may perpertual light shine upon them).
Ne cadant in obscurum, (do not let them fall into darkness)
Exaudi orationem meam.(Hear my prayer).
