I used to teach lyric writing and songwriting as a "hobby job" and love to do reviews on this site. I was a music composition major for awhile but realized very soon that I would most likely never make a living as a composer! So, I went on to major in Liberal Studies and obtain my teaching credential. I have an AA degree in music and have helped songwriters master their craft by teaching the principles taught by Sheila Davis in her lyric writing books.

In the early 90's, I was working on a musical; writing the lyrics and the score, while I had a writer working on the actual play. It was a daunting process and was never finished. I have taken a very long break from music and now have the time to do more writing. "How Do I Love You" was my first attempt at writing a song in nine years! and that was back in 2001. I have a lot of catching up to do!
