From the ashes of the notorious Florida hardcore bands Madison and Carlisle (which also featured members of As Friends Rust and Reversal of Man), guitarist/vocalist Joe Enos moved north to the wastelands of Detroit. He released a limited 4-song All Green Lights CDep on Handstand before teaming up with the members of what would be IN ARCADIA. If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It is their first full-length as a full band. It’s a melodious assault of hardcore in the vein of Anasarca or Falling Forward with the catchy melodies of early Piebald or Sunny Day Real Estate. Joe’s soaring guitars are both powerful and pretty, while his vocals range from uplifting harmonies to harsh wounded-animal screams. Blake Thomas provides the rhythm section, effortless delivering drum beats with guts and groove, while Corey Gass’s pulsating basslines catch you right in the throat. IN ARCADIA are driving, melodic, and most of all moving. This album features nine songs and clocks in at just under 33 minutes.
