Robin Auld is one of South Africas best known singer/songwriters. In South Africa he has had two number ones, several top twenty tunes and won an album of the year award. His last release in 2003, Luxury, made No1 on the National Rock Digest charts, with songwriting that has evolved from the pop production values of his earlier material into a contemporary and original mix of pop and roots influences. Recent years have seen him playing in the UK and the States both solo acoustic and with a band, at events such as Womad and the Cambridge folk festival.
Recording in NYC with Keith Lentin and Anton Fig began in October for an album to be finished and released in 2004.
