Bio
Doug Sylvester began his songwriting career at 16 and has been at it ever since. Doug is a successful published author with over 65 book titles to his credit and over $3,000,000 in cumulative gross sales throughout the United States, Canada and the world.
This has allowed Doug to to pursue his songwriting passion full time, learning the craft and working with co-writers. Recently, he has had four #;1 Country hits on Broadjam, two of which made the "Earth #1 spot for a time.
Doug's education includes BE and a B Ed from the UofS. He taught fifth grade at a small rural school in Mayfair, Saskatchewan as well as high school physics. He is an avid outdoor person and finished 6th in his age group at the Hawian Ironman. Currently, he coaches some of Canadas top up and coming Biathletes who are vying for positions on Canada's Olympic Team for Vancouver in 2010. Songwriting, like coaching, is a pursuit of excellence.
