Raised in CT. Andrea Michelle of Andrea Speaks has been writing music since the age of 10. Though she has been described as having a "unique stamp" to her sound, she has been compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos and Shawn Colvin. Words like moody- contemplative, healing, ethereal and hauntingly beautiful, are common when describing her voice, melodies and lyrics.
On some of these songs you will also hear Bo Wayne who studied under Alan Dawson. Arranger, drummer, percussionist and sometimes bassist he brings flavors of native, jazz, rock and country to the songs and life to the mixes.
About the song "Enough", SongDoor Int'l Songwriting Contest judges wrote, "Love the moodiness, broodiness of this. The message will hit home for lots of women. The kind of song you can just set on repeat on your iPod and let it run all day. The sadness seeps through every line. Grown up writer, reminds me a little of some of Sarah McLachlan's more somber stuff. Loved it."
