Story Behind The Song
Carell got in a little accident
and wound up on a deserted island
with an incredibly wounded man,
sporting quite stunning wounds of my own.
Sparks flew, a forced intimacy ensued,
dominant and submissive tendencies were inflamed,
limits and values were tested,
masculine and feminine dynamics
took on proportions to be reckoned with,
and eventually (inevitably?) an explosion occurred
which blew me to bits -
the re-assemblage of which
is the current work of performance art
that I am calling: my life.
It was a terrible gift.
A painful blessing.
AND it was the inspiration for ?Shipwrecked.?

Lyrics
Shipwrecked
my only no
was your only yes
that's the reason
why we met
you had to pay
and i cleared a debt
and i'd never have known you
if we weren't shipwrecked
shipwrecked
no i'd never have known you
but i do believe you've given me
too much credit in your own crooked currency
i do believe you've taken me
for someone i'll never be
and did you ever feel
like you were possessed
like you weren't in control
of the things that you said
well it's no coincidence
that your bliss was mine
that your bliss was mine
but i do believe you've given me
too much credit in your own crooked currency
i do believe you've taken me
for someone i'll never be
i do believe you've saddled me
with your own culpability
i do believe you've taken me
