Song Description
When I first heard Barry Osbourn's beautiful, "Hold On", the lyrics came flooding in. I remembered the hot, summer tent revivals, with people witnessing their troubles and surrendering to the Higher Power seeking help to the sway of the music, in that little, rural Arkansas town. Barry was most gracious in allowing me to bring these lyrics to his wonderful bluesy guitar work, and my great pleasure, with which to work. Thank you Barry!

Lyrics
Trouble comes in cycles
Hard to see them comin'
I just wanted one dream
That I could count on
But it was nothin'
No, nothin'
I come to water's edge now
Oh to see what I can see
To find the great promise
In a great divide
Hold on,
But I thought that you were someone
That I could trust
And I thought that you were someone
That I could love
Hold on, no
Hold on
It wasn't you
Break
Oh come on now
I can't keep traveling
Down this same old road
Look here, Iv'e tried to do
What I've been told
When it comes to letting go
And loving you
Hold on,
It wasn't you
No, no
Hold on
Break
Thought your love was constant
You love was true
So surprising when
You face your lover
And your lover's
Not loving you
Hold on, hold on
I wasn't you
It wasn't you
Break
Yea, I'm comin' undone
When the night is through
I'm comin' undone
When I don't see you
Comin' undone
How come it wasn't you?
I'm comin' undone
No, no
It wasn't you
Yea, oh no
It wasn't you
Hold on
Yea, yea...
Hold on
Hold on
Aaahhhhh
Hold on
